For me, participating in "A Year with Ben-Huis and Friends" brought no grand sparks or visions but rather peace and a quiet calm. A coming home, if you will. Since I was a little girl, I've been drawn to nature, felt a connection to the earth, to roots and twisty trees, to mountains and rocky streams. Rainbows over Na Pali. Sand between my toes and wet grass under my feet. Rain falling outside my window. Those are my go-tos. Meeting Ben-Huis and his friends and family reminded me of our connection.
