Scottish Storytelling, Ourselves as Indigenous and Spirit, and Remembering Who We Are w/Cara Silversmith
|
Hello, Everyone
Happy almost New Moon in Gemini.
What a perfect time to be sharing with you a very special treat.
I am so happy and honored to be able to share with you a conversation I had this morning with Scottish storyteller and environmental educator (and so much more!), Cara Silversmith.
I first met Cara two years ago when I was a guest on her wonderful podcast, "What of the Ground We Are Standing On."
That first conversation two years ago still is one of my favorite conversations of all time. (Enjoy that here: https://www.podbean.com/media/share/pb-5x5ci-1422890)
The conversation from this morning (the video above) was so deeply moving for me, I still am feeling my bones literally reverberating.
We discussed storytelling, land, the reality of the spirit world, our indigenous ways of knowing and being, and Cara treated us to one of her many many incredible traditional Scottish stories.
As I share in the both of our conversations, my great grandfather immigrated from Scotland and I have a deep and powerful relationship with the land there, as I know many of you do as well.
This conversation feels so important wherever our ancestry is from and wherever we currently live.
There is so much about this conversation that spoke to me and touched me deeply, I will let it speak for itself.
Please enjoy and please share with us what comes alive for you!
