PRAISE FOR THE ASTROLOGY 101 JOURNEY

Since I started the Astrology 101 course in February 2024 it is a continuous experience of joy and appreciation. No pressure or judgement is executed and I never felt so easy in my 65 years old life to share my thoughts and insights on different subjects. The five-fold format of conveying the astrological content (The Information Session, The Channeling Session, The Big Q & A and Wrap up Session, The Small Sharing Circles and the Mythology Session with Chris Skidmore) gives opportunity to become familiar with the learning matter from different angels and
gives time to dive deep into the material. The Mythology Session alone is already an immense source of joy, so much depth and knowledge gets shared there. A beautiful addition are the superb guest speakers, who give outlooks on the vastness of the astrological horizons. And last not least: the course is inbeded in a spiritual dimension. That feels so right and that is how I think humanity will find the way into a better future.

Astrology 101 is more than a course, it is a journey. Getting to know the planets cognitively but also personally. There is learning through charts and videos, discussions of astronomy and information researched by others and shared with the group, all of which was fascinating, intriguing and enriching. And the most expansive part of this last year for me was Martha’s channeling and being guided, having the space held for my inner knowing to be in communication with the actual being of the planets, the consciousness of each one. A way of listening, allowing, communicating so that the wisdom of the cosmos came to us and through us into the world. When I was a child, I felt drawn to ponder the stars. I saw them as beings, capable of transmitting their own unique messages. As I grew older, it was made clear to me how fruitless such trivialities would be in the world in which I was coming up. Not just fruitless, but embarrassingly naive. If I was to know, I needed to study and memorize. I needed to get good grades. A religious environment discouraged the ‘why?’ and a rote schooling environment discouraged the ‘why not?’

By the time I reached adulthood, I had found safe ways to exercise my imagination. However, the serious adult world had tainted much of my thinking around most of my interests in youth. Do I believe in God or am I a human of science? Is there any real value in astrology or should I just stick to quoting fun astronomy trivia at parties? If astrology is valuable do I study Tropical or Sidereal? Using which system do I divide the houses? Which expert do I want to study under? Who will be my guru? What if I invest precious time and resources in study and discover I had made a miscalculation? Probably better to just avoid the whole chaotic mess. There’s no career for me in it, anyway…

Enter Infinite Soul Wisdom Astrology. This is an astrology which aims to give voice to our collective future strivings and to remember our long forgotten genetic past. This class encourages us to keep our imagination unlimited, and to trust a process of direct inquiry - a ‘feeling-into’ what wisdom these cosmic and infinite beings have to give us. There is no dogma here, and there is no fear in investigating multiple points of view together. They all have fruit to bear, be it bitter or sweet.

We aim to attune to the energies and beings that are transiting our skies now, and keep time in circle together for 365 days, coming to fully feel that we are spiraling instead of marching in a line or repeating a closed loop. We are encouraged to engage with the mystery of procession by considering a zodiac wheel fixed in the Greek era as an undertone of traumas and energies held deeply in our bodies, ready to be lovingly re-contextualized, released finally or integrated fully. We find nothing arbitrary. We are eager to investigate newly discovered cosmic mysteries: black holes, centaurs, Kuiper Belt and trans-Neptunian beings. We’re listening to the star wisdom of our indigenous ancestors. Through it all, we are finding joy in challenging our ‘this or that’ thinking with a ‘yes, and’ approach. We are beginning to know our bodies, micro and macro, as dancing together in an endless poetry. Each of us are encouraged to offer our unique turn or angle.

Martha is an extremely nurturing facilitator, and a crystal clear communicator. She is a breath of fresh air in a rapidly growing space - not only in her nuanced sensitivity, but in her far ranging vision and her tireless work ethic. She is also deeply intuitive and responsive to the directives of her own soul guidance, never locking in fixed plans to miss an opportunity for discovery or happy accident. She experiences the unfolding of our journey with the same wonder as each of us. Those in this group have been so generous and nurturing of each other, as well, and bring such a wide spectrum of experience to each of our meetings. I truly cannot overstate how much this class has lit me up and brought me back to my center. I am forever grateful!
